How many pills do you have to take every morning? Lots of multivitamins in there? For most people the answer is yes, considering there are more multivitamins sold than Prozac or Viagra!

I think my mom used to take at least five or six vitamins. I don’t know about you, but I think that sounds like a big hassle, and I don’t have time for it.

The thing is, vitamins and minerals are necessary. You can get most of your nutrients from eating a balanced diet which includes lots of fruits and vegetables, but you can’t get everything. That’s where vitamins come in.

You may be wondering, “Why do I actually need vitamins and minerals?” Let me tell you about the United States Senate Document #264 from way back in 1936.

The main point of the document is that the soil in developed countries, especially North America, has been nearly depleted of all important minerals. And this was in 1936! Thank about how bad it is now. We should be getting minerals from the foods we eat, but we aren’t. (Don’t worry, the end of the article has a solution.)

To quote directly from the document, “The alarming fact is that foods, fruits and vegetables and grains, now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contain enough of certain needed minerals, are starving us - no matter how much of them we eat!”

One mineral you’re probably familiar with is calcium. We need that for our bones. And since cycling is not a weight bearing sport, we need extra calcium. Calcium does more than build strong bones, however.

Read this interesting selection from the document for more detail:

“A cage full of normal rats will live in amity. Restrict their calcium and they will become irritable and draw apart from one another. Then they will begin to fight. Restore their calcium balance and they will grow more friendly; in time they will begin to sleep in a pile as before.”

Now we come to another important question: Do you have a dangerous mineral deficiency? For example, if you are deficient in selenium, you could experience an irregular heart beat, infertility, or muscular dystrophy. A deficiency in tin could lead to male pattern baldness. And a lack of lithium could cause reproductive failure. Yikes!

(By the way, the product I’m going to tell you about contains all the macro and trace minerals known to man!)

Hopefully you now realize the importance of vitamins and minerals in your diet. But you probably know how annoying it is to take pills. Well, what about liquid vitamins?

First off, let’s talk about absorption rates. In pill form, only 10-20% of the vitamins are absorbed. However, in liquid form, 98% are absorbed. (Think of taking pills as flushing 80-90% of your money down the toilet!) (1996 Physicians Desk Reference, p. 1542)

Along with actually working, liquid vitamins are easy to use. Just take a few sips, swish it around in your mouth, and swallow. That’s it.

Personally, I hate swallowing pills. I know some people who couldn’t swallow a pill to save their life. And I know people who pass pills through their system without breaking them down at all. However, everyone I know can swallow a liquid.

Not too long ago, Centrum actually came out with a liquid multivitamin because they could see the potential in this market. However, it is simply a multivitamin in liquid form. Wait…isn’t that what we wanted? Well, yes. But there is something even better.

Remember how I said it would be a good idea to get your nutrients from actual whole food? Now there’s a way to do that, but with a liquid.

That way is with a product known as Body Balance. By taking it, you’re getting organic vitamins and minerals derived from live plants. Specifically, from pure deep sea vegetation. (See why Centrum isn’t on par with whole food like Body Balance?)

What would you do if you and your family planed a wonderful Cruise Vacation and your connecting flight was delayed and the ship sailed without you?

There are hundreds of particulars that could cause you to cancel your vacation, miss your connecting flight, return home early or make you seek emergency medical treatment while traveling.

Here is a list of 10 common examples of what could go wrong and why you should invest in Travel Insurance and Emergency Travel Services.

1) You arrive at your destination and your luggage is missing. Who will help you find it if it is lost? If your luggage goes on a separate vacation, who will pay for your essentials until your luggage joins you? If it was stolen who will pay to replace it?

2) Your airline, cruise line or tour operator goes out of business and you already paid for your tickets. Most tickets are non-refundable. Who will help you with the refunds and get you to your destination?

3) You and your families flight is delayed and you must catch a connecting flight. Now what do you do?

4) Your bag was lost with all your medicine inside. You need to find the bag as quickly as possible or have your emergency prescription filled. Who is going to help you in a strange city/country?

5) You are travelling abroad and your passport and wallet are stolen. How do you replace your passport and where can you get emergency cash?

6) A few weeks before you leave a natural/terrorist incident occurs where you were scheduled to visit. Who will pay if you cancel your trip?

7) If a family member becomes ill and you must cancel your vacation, how do you get your non-refundable deposits back?

8) While you are on vacation you are forced to evacuate due to impending weather or a terrorist treat. Who will reimburse you for your lost vacation?

9) A family member needs emergency medical treatment and needs to be evacuated. Who will help arrange and pay for it?

10) You are in a non-English speaking country and get sick. Who will help you find an English-speaking doctor?

That’s just a list of ten, I’m sure you can think of a few more. I hope you consider purchasing Travel Insurance before your next trip and enjoy your next vacation!

“There is no use trying,” said Alice; “one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I dare say you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Lewis Carroll

Regardless of what your mind may propose serenity is not impossible.

Serenity is a product of humility. False pride, vanity, and self-pity destroy humility and therefore diminish our capacity to meet our daily lives with the peace and clarity that accompany serenity.

When I speak of false pride I do not mean a reasonable or healthy self-respect. I am referring to the false sense of oneself that stems from an embellished sense of achievement and the defining of oneself within the limits of that achievement.

I know many people - including myself - who have achieved wonderful things but then became stuck because they constantly compared themselves to something in the past. It’s the same as living off of a good reputation but no longer making progress or doing what is needed for growth in the present or future.

How many of us think that our bodies are the source of what we have or do not have? Using our bodies as the reason we do or do not have a relationship is an act of vanity. I know people who rely solely on their looks and are terrified of growing old. I also know people who believe that they do not look good enough to attract love and companionship.

Where vanity has to do with one’s appearance, serenity stems from knowing who you are and your relationship to that which lives beyond the physical. Some call it a Higher Power, God, Supreme Being, or The Universe.

Self-pity is self-indulgent. It is a product of dwelling on one’s own sorrows or misfortunes. This keeps us stuck in the dead, boring, discouraging, limiting past and destroys our serenity. False pride, vanity and self-pity keep us from being humble enough to ask for help, strength, courage and support from whatever we feel our Higher Power to be.

To move into serenity, we must accept that there is a Higher Power at work in our lives. Humility opens us up to that Higher Power because it acknowledges that the body can never contain the spirit.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you. Mathew 6-33

Whenever I am in the presence of a being grounded in serenity, one of two things occurs. I either feel myself in balance and peaceful or I become painfully aware of how out of whack I have become.

Many times we become adversarial simply because we do not get our way. Accepting that we do not always get exactly what we thought we wanted, and staying open to new experiences assists us in meeting life with a fresh enthusiasm.

Reading passages from inspirational books, listening to soothing music, prayer, walking in nature are all ways we can restore our serenity.

One of the most powerful tools for maintaining my serenity is to daily inventory my thoughts and actions. I usually do this at night before falling into meditation and sleep.

Making a list of everything we resent but cannot control and then mentally forgiving ourselves, and others, is a therapeutic exercise. Forgiveness releases us from the anger, frustration and resentments that keep us imprisoned in negativity.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong. Mahatma Gandhi

We sometimes feel that we cannot summon up the strength to forgive. Quite often, even forgiving myself seems to be a copout. When we feel this way, we must remember that progressnot perfectionis the goal. I ask my Higher Power for help and the courage to forgive. Through humility I am reminded that we are all human and that we all make mistakes.

Love and encouragement are powerful allies. Wherever you are, whatever you are facing, remember that; “You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars. You have a right to be here.”- Anonymous

Begin to live in the possibility of serenity. You owe it to yourself and to those you love.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
- The Serenity Prayer

Everyone has a hobby or interest that they have a particular passion for and, hence, are probably quite knowledgeable in this area.

It might be photography or art or cooking. It doesn’t really matter what it is. Many people have several interests.

Well, did you know, that if you have an on-line business, your hobbies can be a great help to it?

One way is that you can use your hobby to help generate more traffic to your business web site.

Set-up a web page about your hobby and try to make it inter-active as possible. For example, if your interest is in
cooking, set-up a site where folks can exchange information and swap recopies.

If your interest is in photography, set-up a site to display your photos and offer tips on photography. Put links to your business site on this site about your hobby or special interest.

This not only advertises your business but will get your business site a higher search engine ranking if you get a lot of traffic to your special interest site. Invite visitors to this site to exchange links with you.

If you are a member of a club, try to become the webmaster for your club website, if they don’t already have one. For example, I am a member of the a hiking club based here in southern California. When I first joined, the leader of this group was having some problem getting the monthly hiking information out to all the members.

He was having to call everyone and not being able to get a hold of everyone, so I set-up a website for the club. It was fun. I put a lot of photos from past hikes on it and an area where members could get up-dated information about up-coming hikes.

The site continues to grow and evolve and one thing I added was a page with links to my online businesses. I invite the hiking club members to ad their links and visitors to exchange links.

There are also some blog Links being added, which the club members can contribute to with stories of their hikes.

If you have a special interest site, be sure to start writing articles about your interests and publishing them with referral links back to your website.

Even with regular maintenance and upkeep, our motorcycles tend
to get used and subjected to different elements in the
environment. To keep used motorcycle parts as good as the day
when we first bought them, regular washing and rinsing will do
the trick.

But you should take note how you do your washing. You might
scratch parts of your motorcycle.

Top Rule: Avoid scratches.

Scratches are the biggest enemy of any bike’s finish. The secret
of keeping your used motorcycle parts as good as new is to avoid
scratches in your motorcycle. Dirt and grime when rubbed in
while washing or drying, act as sandpaper and will definitely
dull the brilliance of your bike’s paint.

To avoid scratching your bike, first, you need to remember that
anything that comes in contact with your motorcycle’s finish
should be made of soft material. Take care that no harsh or
rough surfaces will be able to connect with any part of your
motorcycle. Zippers are the worst offenders.

Use only clean, freshly washed cotton cloths or towels to dry
your bike after washing. When you need to put on any application
to make your bike shine, again use the clean cotton cloths and
towels. Rinse thoroughly the sponges or wash mitts, as well as
the bucket, before and after washing your bike to remove any
dirt or grime.

One of the best advice I got from a used motorcycle parts site
was to separate my bike’s areas into normal and rough areas when
washing. I usually consider the painted surfaces as normal
areas, while the tires, engine, and inner fenders are the rough
areas. I use different wash mitts and sponges for each area to
keep dirt and grime away from the sensitive areas. This way,
scratching would be avoided.

Use also a gentle stream of water when rinsing, rather than high
water pressure that comes from the hose. The high pressure of
water will cause dirt to grind further into the paint, causing
scratches along with other worse problems. And remember to use
generous amounts of water when rinsing. Dirt that causes scratch
will easily float away with enough water used.

When washing your bike…

Use lots of water, but without the high pressure. Totally avoid
using pressure washers. Instead let the water flow freely by
detaching the nozzle from the hose.

Along with the generous amount of water, use detergents designed
specifically for motorcycle washing. Ordinary detergent tends to
remove the wax that we want to try to keep. Simply mix the
detergent according to the directions and go for it. Just make
sure you rinse each section soon after applying the detergent so
that no soap film will develop. It is difficult to get rid of
the soap film when it dries up.

After washing, rinse, rinse, and rinse some more. Rinse
everywhere. Every nook and cranny should be rinsed of soap.

Lastly, wash your motorcycle without bright sunlight. Soap suds
can easily dry from the heat. Ideal time of the day would be in
the late afternoon or early morning when the sun is not so
strong.

A baby shower is a very special event celebrating the addition
of a newborn family member. This is usually done by a group of
close friends of the future mother to be. Such events are mainly
for gift giving which make it awkward for a family member of the
mother to be to host such an event.

This can be done a month or two before the arrival of the baby
or right after the baby is born.

Invitations should symbolize the birth of the future baby. One
can get an invitation that has been made by a card company but
for it to be special, it is best to choose the design then have
it custom made.

Just like any other invitation, it should have the name of the
person to be invited, when and where the event will take place,
the contact number of the one hosting the event, the gender of
the baby and the theme of the party.

The invitations should be given out a month to a month and half
prior to the event. This will give people time to make plans for
that day and pick the right gift.

Since the party has to have a theme, there are many to choose
from and it all depends on the gender of the baby.

If it is a boy, an example of a good theme is a sailboat. The
place can be setup with all sorts of boats both big and small.
The punch bowl used for the cocktail can also have one that has
a centerpiece. The most important thing for this kind of theme
is the name of the baby which can be highlighted using an inner
tube or any other object that will suit the occasion.

If it is a girl, an example of a good theme is a cookie. The
theme is based on the poem that tells how little girls are made
which usually come from sugar and spice and everything nice. It
is like have a tea party with lot of cookies around as well as
cooking recipes and jars with various ingredients like chocolate
chip and peanuts. The name of the girl can be highlighted in the
form of a giant cookie.

What if the parents have not decided on the name of the baby
yet? This too can be another good idea. The baby shower can help
the parents decide on the baby’s name. The place can be
decorated with letters of the alphabet and games can be made to
help people think of possible names.

Some parents don’t want to know the gender of the baby until the
baby comes out. Others keep the guests in suspense. Another idea
for a party is only letting the people the sex of the baby at
the party. An ultrasound can be brought in so everyone will be
able to find out all together what the baby is.

Another way to have fun is to let the guests play a Girl or Boy
Quiz. The questions are designed to determine the sex of the
baby.

There are other ideas and themes to make the shower a memorable
occasion. It just takes some planning and little imagination to
make this baby shower stand out over others that people have
gone to.

The host can do alone, plan it with other friends or get a
professional to help out.

In the beginning of the 1900’s, F1 originated with wobbly vehicles & elder gentleman drivers, nonetheless the genuine Formula 1 Racing Championship didn?t go ahead until the 1950’s. Whilst the years went by and the Championship developed, it almost immediately became understandable that Formula One Racing was the best for motorsport. The racing vehicles were the speediest, the equipment was the most complex and the drivers were at the pinnacle of their physical condition coming from foreign countries all around the globe.

With the new introduction of sponsorship taking part, F1 Racing took on its more profit driven structure and can without a doubt these days be thought of being huge business ? with finical figures reaching millions and even billions of pounds with little effort. With huge success arrives politics and now & then it is the people you are connected to & how much capital you possess that obtains you what you fancy. F1 Motor Racing is matted with conspiracy theorists ? I will acknowledge to being one of them ? but depending on how absorbed you yearn to get in the Formula One Racing society, that area of things is quickly disregarded. What in actual fact matters is what goes on the grand prix race circuit.

Voyaging from country to country all over the land for around eight months of the year, Formula One Motor Racing visits countries large & small, affluent and deprived, with fantastic countryside’s, interesting residences and stacks of indigenous history to be soaked up. A race weekend covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a Formula One Motor Racing weekend is a demanding ride, from early testing, to the last laps of the Formula 1 motor race. This wildlife specialist in Florida (Wild Lyle) has been on the
news because it seems that the turtles in Florida have been
laying their eggs especially high on the river banks and when
this happens it inevitably means that it’s going to be a rough
hurricane season. My opinion of turtles that live in hugely
hurricane prone areas is just about the same as people who live
in those areas. Get out of there! Who told you that you had to
live there in the first place? There are plenty of beautiful
places in the US and nearby foreign countries wheregiant storms
don’t come by and blow your house away on a regular basis. Why
don’t you choose one of those? (However,’Tornado Alley’, that
ain’t one of them. Stay away from there because that’s not a
good bet).

‘Wild Lyle’ went on to explain that the turtles are part of a
phenomenon called ‘animal premonition’ and then he went on to
give another example which was the tsunami in which many, many
animals wereseen to be running for higher ground long before
there was any other indication of the big wave. So far, the
turtles seem to be spot on the money as there’s a hurricane
heading for Florida right this minute. The problem with ‘animal
premonition’ is that, despite how well documented it is, it
lacks a readily explainable physical cause. I suppose if
pressed’Wild Lyle’ would mumble something about magnetic fields
as a cause, but c’mon, who are we kidding? No type of magnetic
field willpredict the entire hurricane season and not even the
smartest turtle can read a magnetic field.

Everybody who’s had a pet knows that it’s read their mind at one
time or another. Maybe you wanted to explain it as your pet
reading your body language or something like that, but in your
heart of hearts you knew, that creature saw right through you.
There have been studies done on this, so you don’t have to take
my word for it or even your own experience.

There are a million reasons to call a prospectall of them proper and official.

For instance, you can call to tell them about a special sale, to introduce a new product, to alert them to a company-sponsored event.

You can remind them to stock up on an item that is facing an impending shortage. The list, as you know, goes on.

But, there is one reason to call that never goes out of style, and it earns you lots of relationship credits in the Bank of Human Appreciation:

Just calling to say hello.

We do this with family and friends, so why not with clients?

I suspect many of us feel we’re wasting everybody’s time if we don’t begin a conversation with an official, sanctioned reason for our communication. Maybe, we feel we’re going to embarrass ourselves by making nothing but small talk.

But here’s what happens when you have no official agenda. After asking Bill if he’s been getting out on his boat, or up to the mountains for a little skiing, he’ll open up and generate an official reason for the call.

He’ll probably say, “You know I was thinking about you the other day. I know a guy who could probably use your services.”

Wow, that’s a referral. I can’t tell you how many salespeople complain that they feel odd asking for referrals. Isn’t it nice when they just crop up, seemingly by themselves?

This is just the type of serendipitous perk that you get when you call for the heck of it.

I’ve found that it’s also a good time to hear what’s happening of consequence in your client’s industry. When I speak to my university contacts around the county, I make a point of asking what courses are doing especially well for them.

Always, I hear about new ones that have been flying, to that point, totally under my radar. I may not want to offer the same programs, but knowing that more resources are being placed behind them tells me something about the future direction of my sponsors.

When I check in with the next campus, situated hundred or thousands of miles away, I can mention what seems to be working for my other client.

Because your conversation doesn’t have an official agenda, it’s very relaxing, and that mood is conducive to doing more business. Everybody appreciates interactions that carry less stress.

You don’t want to overdo these calls. One a month, or every other month, might do wonders for you and for your customers.
